The coiler is a semi-automatic machine requiring the mesh to be engaged on the mandrel by hand. Control of the coiling speed is infinitely variable from zero to the maximum speed. This enables the speed of the coiler to be regulated to approximately that of the mesh welding machine for any conditions. A dancing arm can be included to control the coiling speed. As an option Clifford supplies a fully automatic CWMA version that does not require operator intervention to engage the mesh on the mandrel. This option includes an integrated shear.
